A day after the Centre barred the release of Punjabi film 'Kaum De Heere', radical Sikh outfit Dal Khalsa today described the move as illegal and claimed that it has hurt the sentiments of the Sikh community.
Outfit's spokesman Kanwar Pal Singh said the move was the "first onslaught" of the Narendra Modi government on the Sikh sentiments.
He dismissed government's apprehension that the film may disturb the communal harmony, saying "our bonds are not so weak and fragile that any film could trigger unrest among us".
The Centre yesterday barred movie's release.
