The deceased have been identified as Raj Kumar.
According to police, the man was a resident of Talwandi Badshahpur and was staying with his brother Suresh in Bhagana village.
The deceased had consumed insecticide, traces of which were found near his body, SP Anil Dhawan said.
According to a police official, Raj's brother knew about the alleged suicide but instead of taking him to the hospital they locked him inside the house and left.
