Members of Dalit community today held a protest in front of the Sub-Divisional Magistrate's office here alleging that they were stopped from offering 'gangajal' at a temple on Shivratri in Dedwada village in the district.
SDM Balraj Jakkhad assured the protesters of taking appropriate action in the matter and urge them to maintain peace in the area.
"I have assured them of taking action in the matter," Jakkhad said.
The members also submitted a memorandum to him in this regard.
The protesters alleged that they went to Kawad village on Tuesday when some people stopped them from offering 'gangajal' in the village temple.
