Dalmia Bharat Q4 net rises over twofold to Rs 115 cr

Diversified firm Dalmia Bharat today reported more than twofold jump in consolidated net profit at Rs 114.86 crore for the quarter ended March 31, on account of higher sales.

It had clocked a net profit of Rs 47.28 crore in the same quarter corresponding year.

Net sales increased to Rs 1,880.49 crore, up 47.86 per cent, from Rs 1,271.76 crore in the review period.

Dalmia Bharat has its presence in cement, sugar, refractories and power manufacturing.

For the full fiscal, the company's consolidated net profit increased to Rs 190.81 crore from Rs 3.05 crore in the 2014-15 fiscal.

Net sales stood at Rs 6,367.26 crore in 2015-16 as against Rs 3,471.36 crore in the previous financial year.
 

Shares of the company were trading 4.40 per cent lower at Rs 892.45 on BSE.
