: Industrial and commercial refrigeration technology and solutions provider, Danfoss Industries will undertake steps to restore water bodies in and around Chennai in association with trade body CII.
Under the first phase of the 'CII-SR Water Alliance' project, the Vembakkam pond in Kancheepuram district was taken up for restoration in the presence of Confederation of Indian Industry, Southern Region, Director-Development Initiative, K Deepa Mala along with Danfoss India, President, Ravichandran Purushothaman today, a press release said.
"With our vision of engineering tomorrow's India, we are always working towards a greener and sustainable tomorrow, keeping in mind the needs of our future generations", Purushothaman said.
Danfoss Industries would be working towards restoration of water bodies near the company's campus in Oragadam.
"Thorugh this initiative, we seek to give back to the society by providing the local communities access to a clean and usable water source..," he said.
The project includes analysis of a water body, removal of debris, desilting, fencing and periodic review.
