Official records were dispatched and Secretariat staff headed to Srinagar today as part of 'Darbar Move', the tradition of seasonal shifting of state capitals.

As many as 112 vehicles ferrying official records and employees left Jammu this morning, officials said.

The National Highway remained open for one-way traffic from Jammu to Srinagar to facilitate the smooth transition, added the traffic authorities.

The offices, including Civil Secretariat, J&K Legislature and Raj Bhawan were closed here on April 26 along with police headquarters, besides head offices of boards, corporations and autonomous bodies.

The offices will reopen at Srinagar on May 6.
