Life remained disrupted today in the Darjeeling hills on the second day of the two-day 'Janata Curfew' sponsored by the Gorkha Janmukti Morcha even as more arrests were made since last night.
There was neither any transport on the roads in all the three sub-divisions nor any market open, which rendered a ghost look to the towns ahead of the four-day relaxation of the agitation for a separate state from tomorrow.
Darjeeling municipality councillor Subhomoy Chatterjee was arrested by the police last in connection with an old case. The number of arrests in the hills has crossed 300, the SP's office here said.
