Jharkhand Chief Minister Raghubar Das today directed all district deputy commissioners to engage in relief work on war footing.
He also asked the disaster management department to monitor the situation following incessant rains battering many parts of the state.
The chief minister announced Rs 2 lakh to the families who lost members in rain related deaths today, an official release said here.
Das also asked the deputy commissioners to keep a vigil on the difficulties occurring due to the downpour, adding there will not be dearth of funds for relief work, the release said.
