Das for zero-tolerance on corruption issue

Jharkhand Chief Minister Raghubar Das today warned that action would begin within 24 hours on getting corruption-related complaints and asked officials to create an investment-friendly environment in the state.

Stating that the officials would not be pressurised in any manner, he, however, added that action would follow in 24 hours if any complaint of corruption was received.

Reviewing the works of several departments, the Chief Minister said senior officials that the government would also encourage good work, an official release said here.

Das asked the officials to create an investment-friendly environment as the visits of several investors to Jharkhand Pavilion in Gujarat recently reflected their interest in investments in the state.
 

Inviting political leaders, officials and common people for their advice on development matters, Das said he intended to create a new work culture in the state because the people wished development and good governance.

Asking the officials to think for the welfare of the poor, he stressed on team work and said there would not be any compromise on work.

He directed all departments to publicise welfare programmes through the Information and Public Relations Department to enable the people get benefit from several government schemes.

Urban Development Minister C P Singh, Chief Secretary Sajjal Chakraborty, Development Commissioner R S Poddar and several other senior officials were present in the meeting.
