Jharkhand Chief Minister Raghubar Das today inaugurated Reeling-cum-Twisting machine made by the Central Tassar Research and Training Institution.
The machine has been named after former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee---Atal Reeling-cum-Twisting machine, an official release said here.
Speaking at a programme at Nagri block near here, the chief minister said that women could earn Rs 400 per day through using the machine to make thread, enabling them to earn up to Rs 12,000 per month.

It would empower the women, the chief minister said, adding the state government is taking several other steps for women empowerment---Udyami Sakhi Mandal are being set up, under which 4.80 lakh women of 32,000 villages would be trained and connected with self-employment.
Das said that the state government has set a goal to end poverty by 2022.
Asking to identify "anti-development people", Das said such people are putting huddles in the development who see the poor only as vote bank and did not have anything to do with development.
