Continuing to crack the whip on erring officials, Jharkhand Chief Minister Raghubar Das today suspended an absconding government official, who is facing charges of sexual exploitation.
Issuing the orders against Vijay Kerketta, a former block development officer in Lohardaga's Kero block, Das directed to initiate departmental proceedings against him, an official release said here.
An FIR with the Lohardaga women's police station was registered against Kerketta in June, 2013 after a woman accused him of sexual exploitation on the promise of marriage when she went to his office for getting caste certificate, the release said.
Such action spoilt the image of the government, the release said quoting the Chief Minister, adding officials were expected to set ideals in the society.
