Jharkhand Chief Minister Raghubar Das today called upon companies based in the state to proactively assist in the state's development as part of their social responsibility.
"The pace of development can be accelerated only with the cooperation of everyone," an official release said quoting Das said while commending financial assistance by the Coal India Limited (Central Coalfield Limited-CCL) under CSR.
Das said the funds given under CSR would be utilised for tourism and education for girl students.

Situated at the confluence of Damodar and Bhairavi rivers, Rajrappa is one of the main pilgrim spots of the state with devotees from across the country visiting the place. A Community Centre-cum-Tourist Shed would be constructed there.
As part of security of girls through police liaison, 25 two-wheelers, 25 smart phones, 20 Tabs, one video projector and one VCD would be procured.
The CMD also assured further assistance under CSR in the future for the state's development, the release said.
Additional Chief Secretary N N Pandey, Principal Secretary to Chief Minister Raghubar Das, Sanjay Kumar and other officials were present on the occasion, the release added.
