Dasila takes over as Commander of Coast Guard Karnataka

S S Dasila, Deputy Inspector General (DIG) of Coast Guard, today assumed charge of Commander, Coast Guard Karnataka.

He replaces K R Suresh, who has been elevated to the rank of Inspector General and posted as Commander, Coast Guard Region (Andaman and Nicobar), a release here said.

Dasila was commissioning commanding officer of Indian Coast Guard ship "Shoor".

He joined service in 1991 and had gained diverse experience during his 25-year stint in Coast Guard in various assignments, the release said.
