Data theft case against stock broking firm

Mumbai police have filed a case of alleged data theft against a stock broking firm and its employees.

The FIR was lodged on January 1 at Cyber Cell police station in Bandra Kurla Complex (BKC), said a police official, requesting anonymity.

Devesh Negandhi, the complainant, told PTI that the firm allegedly stole "important data and software" belonging to him.

Sudhir Mahadik, senior inspector of Cyber Cell police station, refused to comment on the case.
