Union Minister Bandaru Dattatreya today favoured having rail connectivity to the international airport in Hyderabad from the city.
Dattatreya, Union Minister of State for Labour (independent charge), said he would soon take up the issue with Union Ministers for Home, Civil Aviation and Urban Development as the airport project involves those ministries.
The proposal is to have the Multi-Modal Transit System (MMTS) rails to the airport.

Replying to a query that the airport operator is not keen on the rail connectivity to the airport project, he said an amicable solution would be found to the issue.
Dattatreya, the Lok Sabha member from Secunderabad here, was speaking after a review on various issues concerning the city.
The Minister said that he would take up the issue of a stretch of land regarding the MMTS Phase II involving Defence ministry with the concerned authorities so that it can be resolved expeditiously.
He said he would work for securing additional funds of Rs 50 crore for the Peddapally-Karimnagar-Nizamabad line, an important railway project in Telangana.
The Union Minister said he would also help in the Musi river cleaning project in Hyderabad by taking it up with the Union Ministries of Urban Development and Environment.
