Expressing happiness over the induction of Secunderabad MP Bandaru Dattatreya into the central government, Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao today said the appointment would benefit the state.
"Dattatreya's induction would help in bringing issues concerning Telangana to the notice of the Centre and in expeditious resolution of pending issues," he said.
The Telangana government would soon organise a civic reception for Dattatreya, a release from the Chief Minister's office quoted Rao as saying.
Dattatreya took oath as a Minister of State with Independence charge as part of the expansion of the Narendra Modi government.
