Legendary singer David Bowie wanted his ashes to be scattered in Bali, according to his will which was filed in Manhattan.

The 69-year-old singer, who died earlier this month following a secret cancer battle, left instructions for his ashes to be scattered on the island in accordance with Buddhist ritual, reported New York Post.

According to rock icon's will, nearly half of his USD 100 million estate now belongs to his wife Iman, along with the couple's home on Lafayette Street in Manhattan.

Their daughter, Alexandria, will get his Ulster County home in upstate New York, and will divide the remaining of Bowie's fortune with his son from a previous relationship, Duncan Jones.

Bowie also gave USD two million to his friend and personal assistant, Corinne Coco Schwab, and USD one million to his son's former nanny, Marion Skene.
