'The Dark Knight Rises' star Christian Bale has been linked to the upcoming Steve Jobs biopic.
Director David Fincher has named Bale as his choice to play the late Apple CEO in the currently untitled movie, reported Huffington Post.
Fincher was recently said to be in talks to helm the project but the new report claims that the director will only come on board if Bale is involved.

The move would see Fincher reunited with 'Social Network' producer Scott Rudin and writer Aaron Sorkin - who has penned the biopic for Sony.
The film is based on Walter Isaacson's biography of Jobs, which utilised unprecedented access to the final years of the entrepreneur's life.
Sony purchased film rights to the project back in October 2011, just weeks after Jobs passed away from pancreatic cancer.
The technology chief was also the subject of 2013 movie 'Jobs' starring Ashton Kutcher.
Bale will next be seen starring as Moses in Ridley Scott's biblical film 'Exodus', which is due to be released in the UK on December 5 and the US on December 12.
