Supermodel David Gandy says he plans to quit modelling to let younger and fitter models have a chance.

Gandy, 35, who has been in the fashion industry for more than a decade, said he wants to completely shift from modelling to designing for a fashion brand, as he thinks he is getting too old, reported Daily Mirror.

"It's 14 years now I have been doing it. Yes, I will be fading, I don't do as much now. I have the designing side which I will continue and I think I will slowly fade from maybe modelling my own stuff to bringing in young British models to give them a chance like I had a chance at the end of the day," said the model.

"And to be honest there are so many good looking guys that deserve a chance. I have got charities and writing and there is plenty to keep me going," he added.

Gandy revealed that he wants to move into TV and movies in the future.
