Day temperature rises marginally in HP

The day temperature rose to 33.5 degree Celsius, 32.5 deg and 32.2 deg at Bhuntar, Kangra and Sundernagar, respectively, a rise of two degree since yesterday.

Una recorded a high of 34.5 deg, followed by Nahan 30.2, Dharamsala 28.8, Solan 28.6, Manali 26.4, Kalpa 24.6 and Shimla 22.4 deg C.

Kalpa in tribal Kinnaur district was the coldest in the region with the minimum temperature at 12.8 deg and Keylong in adjoining tribal district of Lahaul and Spiti recorded a low of 14.2 deg C.

Dharamsala was wettest in the region with 31 mm rains, while Jubbarhatti recorded 28 mm of rains, followed by Manali 23 mm, Kahu 22 mm, Paonta Sahib 18 mm, Kumarsain 14 mm, mashobra 13 mm and Gohar 11 mm.

 

Una was hottest during the night also with minimum temperature at 24.5 deg, followed by Sundernagar 22.3, Mandi 21.7, Palampur 21, Nahan 20.6, Bhuntar 20.1, Solan 18.4 and Shimla 16.4 deg C.

The local MeT office has predicted rains or thunderstorm at some places during next three days and heavy to very heavy rains at isolated in mid and lower hills.
