Day temperature soared to above normal in some parts of Uttar Pradesh with Allahabad recording the highest at 43.3 degrees Celsius tody.
Temperatures were appreciably above normal in Faizabad, Varanasi and Allahabad and normal in the remaining divisions of the state, MeT officials said here.
Weather remained dry in the state, they said.
The highest maximum temperature in the state was recorded in Allahabad at 43.3 degrees Celsius.
According to the forecast, the weather would be dry for the next 24 hours in the state.
