Day temperatures rise in Punjab and Haryana

Day temperatures rose in most parts of Punjab and Haryana today with mercury settling above normal level in the region.

Day temperatures hovered between two degrees Celsius above normal to six notches below normal in Punjab and Haryana, the MeT office said here.

Yesterday, the day temperatures in the region was around two degrees Celsius below normal.

Narnaul had a high of 25 degrees Celsius, which was six notches below normal.

However, Patiala settled at a high of 30.1 degrees, one notch above normal. Chandigarh had a high of 29.9 degrees Celsius, one notch above normal.

While Amritsar had a high of 29.2 degrees, the day temperature at Ludhiana was 29.8 degrees Celsius, two notches above normal.
 

Among other places, Hisar had a high of 31.5 degrees followed by 29 degrees Celsius at Ambala.

The MeT department has predicted sunny weather during the next two days in the region.
