Jogindernagar recorded 16 mm of rains followed by Jubbal at 7 mm, Rohru at 4 mm and Kasauli at 3 mm while it remained dry in the rest of the state.
The maximum day temperature rose from 33.4 deg Celsius to 36.4 deg Celsius in Una, which was hottest in the region, while Bhuntar and Sundernagar recorded a high of 33.5 deg Celsius and 32.9 deg Celsius respectively.
This was followed by Dharamsala at 30.8 deg Celsius, Solan at 29.5 deg Celsius, Shimla at 25.7 deg Celsius and Kalpa at 21.8 deg Celsius, two to four degrees above normal.
Una was also the hottest during the night with a minimum temperature of 24.2 deg Celsius, three degree above normal, while Sundernagar, Dharamsala and Mandi recorded a low of 22.5 deg Celsius.
This was followed by Nahan and Palampur at 21.2 deg Celsius, Bhuntar at 19.2 deg Celsius, Solan at 17.2 deg Celsius, Shimla at 15.7 deg Celsius and Manali at 15 deg Celsius.
The weather remained cloudy with thick fog engulfing Shimla, MeT department said while predicting widespread rains across the state during the next 48 hours.
