Day temperatures stay below normal in Punjab, Haryana

Day temperatures in most parts of Punjab and Haryana today hovered below normal limits with mercury settling upto two notches below normal.

The day temperatures hovered between one to two degrees Celsius below normal in most parts of Punjab and Haryana, the MeT office said.

While Ambala had a day temperature of 26 degrees Celsius, two notches below normal, Chandigarh settled at 26.5 degrees Celsius, also two notches below normal.

Among other places, Amritsar had a day temperature of 26.8 degrees Celsius, one notch below normal followed by 27.4 degrees Celsius at Patiala, one notch below normal, 27.5 degrees Celsius at Ludhiana, also one notch below normal and 27.6 degrees Celsius at Hisar, two notches below normal.
 

The MeT forecast sunny days with mist or haze in the morning in Punjab and Haryana during the next two days.
