Shimla, where mercury touched a maximum of 24.6 degrees celsius, received 36 mm of rain till this evening, the Met office said.
Pandoh, Bajaura and Arki registered 23 mm, 22 mm and 20 mm of rain respectively, it said.
Una was the hottest place in the state with the maximum day temperature rising to 35 degrees celsius followed by Nahan and Sundernagar where the high settled at 31.4 degrees each.
Minimum temperatures hovered closed to normal in the state, the weather office said.
The minimum in Shimla and Mandi settled at 15.6 and 17.1 degrees respectively.
The Met office has predicted thundershowers at a few places in lower, mid and higher hills in the next couple of days.
