DB Corp Q2 profit down 11% to Rs 78.66 crore

Media firm DB Corp Ltd today reported a 11.12 per cent decline in consolidated net profit at Rs 78.66 crore for the quarter ended on September 30, 2017.

The company had posted a net profit of Rs 88.51 crore during the July-September period a year ago, DB Corp said in a BSE filing.

DB Corp's total income during the period under review was at Rs 574.05 crore, up 5.67 per cent, as against Rs 543.22 crore during the corresponding period a year ago.

"Consolidated PAT stands at Rs 78.7 crore from Rs 88.5 crore after factoring one-off related to roll back of radio music royalty of Rs 5.8 crore in quarter 2 last year as well as new circulation expansion drive," the company said.
 

Its total expenses were up 10.38 per cent to Rs 453.33 crore as against Rs 410.68 crore.

Shares of DB Corp today settled at Rs 360.95 on BSE, down 2.08 per cent from the previous close.
