The disbursement of pension was discontinued after it came to light that many beneficiaries were not authentic and did not possess relevant documents, an official spokesman said here today.
The government has asked all beneficiaries to contact the SDM or the Deputy Commissioner concerned along with all documents justifying their claim for the old-age pension.
The old-age pension could be restored to them after verifying their documents, the spokesman said.
