DCW to seek report on job provision for acid attack survivors

The Delhi Commission for Women (DCW) today summoned Special Secretary of Delhi Government's Health department to seek the status report on the measures taken to facilitate jobs to acid attack survivors.

"DCW had requested Health Minister Satyender Jain to consider the CVs of 33 acid attack survivors and provide jobs to them. The Minister had issued an order to Special Secretary to facilitate the process of timely provision of jobs to these victims," a statement from the women's body said.

"The Commission observed that despite passage of 3 months there has been no response. So, Special Secretary Rashmi Krishnan, has been summonned on October 20 to seek a status report," it added.
