Public broadcaster Doordarshan has decided to invite proposals from production houses which have at least 300 hours of Hindi general entertainment programming, under its slot sale policy.
Production houses which have produced at least 300 hours of Hindi general entertainment programming in the last two years and have a turnover of minimum Rs 5 crore per annum with regard to television and film production in the last three financial years are eligible to apply, a statement said.
Doordarshan has launched the slot sale policy to auction prime time slots of DD National. The objective of the policy is to attract bids in the genre of general entertainment from eligible producers.
Successful bidders will produce fresh programmes in various genres of general entertainment for Doordarshan, adhering to the programming/broadcasting codes of Prasar Bharati, the statement added.
