The normal 24-hour transmission of DD Kashir, Doordarshan's regional channel for Jammu and Kashmir, resumed today from Srinagar after remaining affected for over two months due to floods in the valley.

"We have today resumed round the clock transmission of DD Kashir after the restoration work was completed," Shabir Ahmad Buch, Head of Doordarshan Kendra Srinagar, told PTI.

Unprecedented floods in Kashmir in first week of September had marooned large parts of the city, including the premises of Doordarshan Kendra Srinagar.

Partial transmission services has started in mid-October with four-hour programming.
