Eminent singers and musicians will pay a musical tribute to the martyrs of the 1965 Indo-Pak war as part of a programme that will be telecast on Doordarshan's national channel this Sunday.
A statement released by the public broadcaster said that Doordarshan Delhi recently held a programme of lyrical tribute by artistes to the martyrs in the presence of their families and the Minister of Defence and the Chiefs of army, navy and air force and heads of paramilitary forces.
The programme, named 'Smarananjali' - A musical tribute to Martyrs, on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the 1965 war will be telecast on DD National on December 7.
It will feature eminent artistes like violin maestro L Subramanium and singers Kavita Krishnamurthy, Pankaj Udhas and Suresh Wadkar, among others, the statement said.
