A 32-year-old deaf and dumb woman was allegedly gangraped in Puranpur area here.
The incident took place yesterday when about half a dozen persons abducted the woman from her house when her husband was not there and took her to a secluded place and raped her, Additional Superintendent of Police (ASP) Sudhir Kumar said.
An FIR has been registered against six persons in this regard, he said, adding, no arrest has been made so far and the matter is being investigated.
