Debt ridden farmer, affected by crop loss, dies

A farmer, worried about debts and affected by crop loss, died mysteriously here today.

Bhawani Prasad Yadav (65), resident of Pure Bhola Tiwari-Kaima village under Jagdishpur police station limits in Amethi district died after taking stock of his crops destroyed by the untimely rains and hailstones, according to his family.

Sub divisional magistrate of Musafirkhana, R D Ram assured the family members on financial assistance from the administration.

The elder son of the deceased, Govind told reporters that his father had taken more than Rs 1 lakh loan from a bank. He also had seven daughters, all to be married. The farmer's wife is a physically challenged.
 

Worried about all this, he fainted suddenly, and was rushed to a hospital which declared him dead, Govind said.
