Victory of Modi in Gujarat and Virbhandra Singh in Himachal Pradesh should be accepted as the decisions of voters, Yadav said, adding he had congratulated the BJP leader on the day of election results itself.
"The victory of Narendra Modi in Gujarat and Virbharda Singh in Himachal Pradesh is the decision of the electorate. In a democracy it is important to accept such decisions," he told reporters here.
Asked to comment on fariness of Modi's election and whether it will help Modi gain secular credentials, Yadav said, "How he won and why it happened, such discussions are not required here. He has been elected by the people and that should be accepted."
He refused to comment on whether Modi's victory makes him more acceptable to other NDA allies as candidate for Prime Ministership in 2014 Lok Sabha elections.
"BJP President and all its spokesperson have commented on this. I have already expressed my view. What can I do if you keep raking the issue everyday. Leave this issue to parties and organisations. You people just keep throwing your balls in my court. You want such issues only to run your channles," Yadav said.
