Power tariff in the national capital may be hiked in a day or two as Delhi Electricity Regulatory Commission was examining a demand to increase the rates as demanded by private electricity distribution companies.
"A final decision on the demand by the discoms will be taken shortly," DERC chairman P D Sudhakar told PTI.
The private power distribution companies have sought hike in tariff to adjust their power purchase cost.

Power tariff in the city was hiked by up to eight per cent in January by the DERC.
Sudhakar said the regulator will look into all aspects before taking a decision on the demand by the power distribution companies.
The DERC is also in the process of reviewing the annual tariff structure.
The AAP government in January had ordered a CAG audit of accounts of the private discoms.
The BJP has asked Lt Governor Najeeb Jung not to allow any hike in tariff before the CAG submits its report about the discoms finances.
