The bodies, recovered yesterday, were yet to be identified, police said.
While the age of one of the deceased was around 40 years, another was 22-year old, the police said.
Police scientific team and dog squads were pressed for investigation and senior police officers rushed to the spot.
The police suspected both were dumped in the canal after murder.
