Decomposed body of missing girl found

The police yesterday recovered the decomposed body of 20-year-old girl, Lobsang Chotten, who went missing on August 18 last when she was on her way back home from tution .

The body was found hanging in an abandoned kutcha house near 6 Miles, Capital SP Devender Arya said today.

He said the body which was found in hanging position was totally decomposed.

Police also recovered a suicide note along with a cell phone, umbrella and a bag.

The deceased hails from Tawang, the SP said adding, a case has been registered at Itanagar Women Police Station and the body was sent for post mortem.
 

Meanwhile, the Itanagar Buddhist Cultural Society (IBCS) has expressed deep shock over the sudden and untimely demise of Chotten, whose lifeless body was found after five days near 6-miles here, in an abandoned house.

Describing the death as 'unfortunate' and 'great loss' to the society, IBCS president Sonam Tenzing stated that such incident should not be repeated.
