Decomposed corpse of an alleged Maoist killed in a police encounter three years ago, was exhumed today from the Kajla hills near the Palagodiunder jungle area of Madhya Pradesh near here, a senior police official said today.
The corpse of the alleged Maoist identified as Tiju, who was killed in a police encounter under the Roopjar police station on May 26, 2012, was exhumed after information given by another Maoist called 'Dilip' alias Guha, who was arrested last month by the district police, Balaghat Range (Anti-Maoist Operations) Inspector General of Police D C Sagar told PTI.
He said that Tiju's remains were exhumed in the resence of the area's magistrate after digging the earth where he was buried.

The IG said that after postmortem of the corpse is carried out by doctors of the district hospital, who would be helped by a Forensic Science Laboratory team, it would be sent for skull superimposition (re-construction).
He said that Tiju was killed along with a woman Maoist called Sukna Bai, whose body was recovered after the exchange of fire between the Maoists and police in 2012.
In the encounter, Tiju was injured in his abdomen after which the Maoists carried him away and escaped, he said.
However, Tiju died due to loss of blood after which the Maoists wrapped him in a plastic cover and buried him, he said.
