"I met the Governor and drew his attention to the breakdown in law and order in the state. The Trinamool Congress government is responsible for the worsening of law and order," Dasmunshi alleged after meeting Narayanan at Raj Bhavan.
Dasmunshi, who escorted Pratima Dutta, the widow of slain Trinamool Congress leader of Bally Tapan Dutta, to the Governor, said "criminals are moving scot free with the state government giving them protection."
Dasmunshi said she submitted a memorandum to the Governor on the law and order situation in the state.
WBPCC chief Pradip Bhattacharya has already supported the widow's demand for a CBI inquiry into her husband's killing allegedly by Trinamool Congress members in September last year.
She had visited the WBPCC office recently and sought Congress support for her demand and alleged that her family was under constant threat.
She also claimed that she had sought an appointment with the chief minister and law minister which was not granted.
