Deepa Dasmunsi files nomination from Raiganj

Union Minister Deepa Dasmunsi and her brother-in-law who is pitted against her in Raiganj Lok Sabha constituency today filed their nomination papers for the April 24 Lok Sabha polls.

While Dasmunsi was seeking reelection on a Congress ticket, her brother-in-law Prabitra Ranjan Dasmunsi is a Trinamool Congress candidate.

CPI(M) Central Committee member and Left Front candidate Mohammed Salim too filed his nomination paper from that seat.

In Balurghat constituency, Congress leader Omprakash Mishra, Bimal Sarkar (RSP) and Biswapriya Roychowdhury (BJP) too filed their papers during the day.

Thespian Arpita Ghosh, TMC candidate, is yet to file her papers from that seat.
 

In the Malda South constituency, TMC candidate Mohazzium Hossain and CPI(M) candidate Abul Hasnat Khan filed their nominations today.

Congress candidate and Union Minister of State for Health and Family Welfare Abu Hasem Khan Choudhury is yet to file his nominations from the seat.

In Malda North, CPI(M) nominated Left Front candidate Khagen Murmu has filed his nominations.

Sitting Congress MP and Congress candidate Mausam Noor is yet to file her nominations.
