The projects are the 2000 MW Subansiri Lower Hydro-Electric Project taken up by NHPC, the 600 MW Kameng HEP and 110 MW Pare HEP, both executed by NEEPCO.
The Subansiri project has been halted because of an agitation launched by anti-dam activists in Assam.
The project, which was originally scheduled for completion in 2010-11, is likely to be commissioned during the period 2016-18, Lok Sabha member from Arunachal Takam Sanjoy was informed by Union Minister of State for Power Jyotiraditya Scindia.
Likewise, NEEPCO's 600 MW Kameng and 110 MW Pare projects are faced with adverse impact of natural calamities and have been rescheduled for commissioning during 2016-17 and 2014-15 respectively.
The minister said the major reasons for delay in setting up the projects are due to delay in getting statutory clearances such as environment and forest clearances, problems relating to land acquisition, resettlement and rehabilitation, and law and order.
The Ministry of Power has taken several measures for post clearance monitoring of the hydro-electric projects.
