Delegation from UK-based Sikh body calls on Nitish Kumar

A delegation from a UK-based Sikh body, Nishkam Seva Jattha, called on Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar here today.

Led by the Birmingham-based Jatha's current head Bhai Mohinder Singh, the delegation placed before the Chief Minister its proposals for the concluding ceremony of Guru Gobind Singh's 350th "Prakash Parv" and renovation of a Gurudwara at Rajgir.

They told the Chief Minister that after contributing their efforts towards the preparations for the "Prakash Parv" they would like to do their bit for the Takht Harmandir Sahib at Patna, where the tenth Sikh Guru was born.

Besides Bhai Mohinder, the delegation comprised Jatha members like Bhai Indrajit Singh, Bhai Paramjit Singh and Bhai Sumit Singh Kalsi.
 

Bihar chief secretary Anjani Kumar Singh, principal secretary to the Chief Minister Chanchal Kumar and secretary Atish Chandra were also present on the occasion, an official release said.
