The delegation, which comprised J P Nadda, National General Secretary Virender Kashyap and Rajya Sabha MP Vimla Kashyap, demanded the early release of payment of about Rs 4,000 crore on account of arrears of the state's share in power projects under Bhakra Beas Management Board (BBMB).

Claiming that bureaucratic hassles were creating delay in the payment, they said the verdict was given by the Supreme Court in favour of Himachal.

The Centre was "equally responsible" for perpetrating injustice to Himachal and had remained a silent spectator in all these years, Nadda claimed the delegation told Moily.

The delegation also demanded commencement of work on the Rs 78 crore Hydro Engineering College to be set up in Bilaspur at the earliest.

An early decision on the 60 MW Dhaulasidh Hydro Electric project, to be commissioned in Nadaun area of Hamirpur district at a cost of Rs 500 crore, was also sought as the state government had already completed all the formalities in this regard.

Nadda claimed Moily assured Shanta Kumar that the Centre will take an early decision on all the pending issues.
