Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) president N. Uttam Kumar Reddy today said an all-party delegation would meet President Ram Nath Kovind later this month to submit a representation on the "anti-SC, ST, and BC" moves of the ruling TRS government.
He said the delegation would also give representations to the National Human Rights Commission and National Commissions for SCs and STs.
Reddy was referring to an incident in which police allegedly beat up some locals, including dalits, suspecting their involvement in torching a sand truck in Nerella in Rajanna-Sircilla district a few days ago.

Addressing the Round Table conference on "Atrocities and attacks on Dalits", organised by SC Department of TPCC, Reddy said the delegation would call on DGP Anurag Sharma tomorrow to ask him why no FIR was registered under SC, ST Atrocities Act even after the "victims" of the Sircilla incident lodged a complaint before police officials concerned.
He demanded guilty cops be suspended and booked under relevant charges.
The TPCC chief also proposed to organise an all-party 'padayatra' and a public meeting at Sircilla if justice is not done to the victims.
Reddy said Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao lost respect after he made some highly objectionable remarks against former Lok Sabha Speaker Meira Kumar who had visited the victims.
The Congress leader alleged the KCR family was directly responsible for the Sircilla incident.
