"The distressed families in Asthaan village who are 52 in numbers, are still bound to live under open sky as the rioters have even didn't spared the ceilings and roofs that have cracked very badly and they fear the ceiling may fall any moment," Professor Ahmad Ali, who led the delegation, told reporters here yesterday.
The houses, belonging to a minority community, were burnt and demolished by some local miscreants in Nawabganj area in the district on June 20.
Ali said that the delegation have provided sewing machines along with other supporting items used in tailoring work to 25 families.
