Delhi airport gets 6D theatre

With an aim to bring finest global experience for the fliers, Delhi International Airport Limited has launched 6D cinema theatre at Terminal 1D of the IGI airport here.

"Indira Gandhi International (IGI) airport has become the first airport in India to get its very own 6D cinema. Paramount Technologies, one of India's fastest growing entertainment companies, has recently launched its state-of- the-art 6D theatre at the domestic departure Terminal 1D of IGIA," an official spokesperson said.

Launched under the brand name iRido 6D, it's the first of its kind theatre to be set up at any airport in India and is amongst the most advanced 6D theatres across any airport in the world.
 

IRido 6D Cinema is the only multi-dimensional theatre or rider based on the newest electronic technology with six degrees of seat movements and 21 special effects that simulate experiences like water spray, air blast, bubbles, rain, smoke, fire, fog, snow, leg ticklers, pokers etc.

"Using a unique and patented simulation technology from Korea, it not only involves the hearing and visual senses of the viewer but also allows the viewer to feel, move, involve and fantasise along with the movie as if it's real," he said.

DIAL CEO I Prabhakara Rao said, "We have introduced many innovative concepts to ensure passenger comfort, convenience and entertainment. The 6D theatre is another step in that direction and we are confident that it will add a new dimension to the experience at IGI."

The show duration in the theatre would be of around 15 minutes and the ticket price is Rs 250 plus entertainment taxes.
