Delhi Archbishop Anil J T Couto today condemned the alleged attack on a Catholic School in the south Delhi's Vasant Vihar area, saying the incident reflects badly on police and the Home Ministry as the law and order situation continues to deteriorate.
"The attack on the school is the sixth incident of attacks on Catholic churches and institutions in Delhi. All the promises and assurances given by the Union Home Minister and Delhi Police Commissioner need to be translated into concrete actions as the latest attack is yet another proof of deterioration of law and order situation in the city," the Archbishop said in a statement here.
Couto urged both the Central and state governments to ensure proper security for all Christian churches and institutions in the city and to bring to book the culprits who indulge in targeting minority religious places and institutions.

Unidentified persons had allegedly vandalised the school in south Delhi's Vasant Vihar in the wee hours today even as police and school authorities claimed it to be a case of robbery.
