Delhi BJP president Manoj Tiwari visited the family members of Rupesh, who was allegedly shot dead by two men in Taimoor Nagar, on Friday and assured them that his party would seek a judicial probe into the matter.
Tiwari also met with the Commissioner of Delhi Police over the killing, according to a Delhi BJP statement.
Tiwari said the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) stands with Rupesh's family in their hour of grief and assured that "every possible effort" will be made for a judicial probe into the murder. The family of Rupesh had alleged that he was killed for resisting drug peddlers in the area.
Police yesterday arrested two men in connection with the killing of Rupesh outside his residence on September 30.
