A delegation of Delhi BJP leaders led by its president Vijender Gupta met Police Commissioner Neeraj Kumar and handed him over a letter.

In the letter, Gupta said, "Even after ten days of the incident, Delhi Police has been unable to arrest the former Haryana minister Kanda, who is an influential person."

Stating that such a situation could have been avoided had police taken timely action, Gupta alleged that the entire case has cast serious aspersions on the "intentions and credibility" of the force.

Twenty-three-year-old Geetika Sharma was found hanging in her house on August five.

In her suicide note, she has accused Kanda and Aruna Chadha of harassing her.
