The seven BJP MPs from Delhi, including the party's state unit president Manoj Tiwari, will observe a fast tomorrow as part of the party's protest over the recent washout of the Budget session of Parliament.

Tiwari, however, will continue his fast as an indefinite hunger strike against the Delhi government's alleged "partiality" over developmental works.

The Delhi BJP chief had earlier alleged that funds for a Shastri park loop, a multi-exit road, and a flyover in Seelampur were not being released and had warned of going on a hunger strike from April 12.

Tiwari will be joined by Union minister Vijay Goel in the fast at the Main Chowk of Shastri Park.

"Will join the nationwide #FastWithPMModi movement tomorrow morning at Shastri Park against the divisive politics of Opposition especially Congress as we witnessed during the recent #ParliamentLogjam," Goel tweeted.

Tiwari and Goel are considered competitors in Delhi BJP politics and have avoided sharing common platforms on several occasions in the past.

The BJP MPs countrywide will observe similar protests in their constituencies. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will also observe a fast, a Delhi BJP statement said.

Other BJP MPs in Delhi will sit on fast in their respective constituencies from 10 AM to 4 PM. They will be joined by leaders and workers of the party.

Union minister and Chandni Chowk MP Harsh Vardhan will sit on a fast at Town Hall Chowk.
